Welcome! The website is under renovation!!
Congratulations to the color guard on yet another successful season! We had a great time at our last game of the season; we enjoyed seeing so many alumni at Columbia and had a wonderful experience marching in the Sy Katz parade! As the semester draws to a close, we're looking forward to a more chill but equally fun spring semester. There is currently no official webmaster but for now, anyone who wants their website info updated can send Emily an email at any time. Seriously, she doesn't bite, like, 4% of the time.
The Cornell University Big Red Color Guard is by far the best-looking section of the largest student-run organization on campus, the Big Red Marching Band, or BRMB. We march actual drill with actual equipment, compared to the erratic, bench-playing scatter bands of the other Ivy League institutions. This makes us the only REAL colorguard in the only REAL marching band in the Ivy League.
The guard writes our own routines and drill to suit our needs. Having to learn a new show every two weeks means we generally stick to using flags, although rifles, sabres, and other props have made increasingly frequent appearances in recent years.
The Color Guard isn't the largest section (saxes?), the loudest section (trumpets?), or the rowdiest section (tubae?), but we have a great time doing what we do.
